Hard to tell. Both had similar style and same assets, speed, finesse and good punching power. They also had a great chin both. It depends wether it's a 15 rounder or a 12 rounder. Leonard seemed to excel in the late rounds. If it went 12 rounds, then either a draw or a close decision that could go either way. If it went 15 rounds, then probably a decision or TKO in one of the last two rounds for Sugar Ray.

DLH had the tools to be agreat fighter but he lost too many of his big fights - hopkins, mosley, tito ffs he didn't even manage to beat a 140lb fighter in floyd!! SRL is a great fighter, his comeback win over hagler has to be one of the best comeback wins we've seen. add into that wins over duran and hearns and you have an ATG. imo DLH might even be lucky to get into the top 60/70 fighters of all time.

Is this serious? Sugar Ray is one of the best welterweights ever, and I'm saying that with a big dislike for the guy. He would beat Oscar no doubt.

SRL is greater IMO, he had the bigger wins on his resume.

I couldn't believe this question was being asked.

SRL was a much greater fighter. Not even a realistic question.

I'd have to choose Leonard on this one. Both were great fighters but Leonard won his most important and prolific fights. Even though de la Hoya deserved his win against Trinidad, I gotta go with Leonard.
