Roy Jones had his most impressive showing since jones griffin 2 almost 12 years ago

any jones fan were given a treat tonight, that was a sick performance by Jones, he battled most of the fight on the ropes and showed an increased confort level/offensive style on the ropes than we have seen before instead of just covering up and taking 10 shots, was it partially due to left hook being slow and predictable? perhaps, but you still can't overlook the great performance and confidence builder this gives jones as he heads into the twilight of his career and I think everyone now agrees (in case they hadn't before) that his Offensive skills are still there SOMEWHAT NEAR the roy jones level of 1990's

Looks like the Jones Calzaghe beat was not as shot as the Roy loons like to make out.

^^^^ fair enough but look at some of the left hook combinations and absolutely sick 6-10 punch combos he had throughout the fight and tell me that he is a "washed up fighter who needs to retire" that talk is just garbage

I wouldn't say it was his most impressive, he did totally dominate John Ruiz being outweighed by 20 pounds to win a heavyweight belt. I am also more impressed by how Roy gutted out the first fight over Tarver.

            Jay Nady.....

That result does not count due to the dreadful bias ref.

He looked great but he was allowed to look great because of Lacy.
