Maybe if he was losing the fight, then yeah ; I could see it.

    But he wasn't.
    Nah, I don't think he's acting, mike.

The guy is a known ****** and I consider him worse than Joe Cortez ; which says an awful lot about just how ****ty his ref'ing skills are.

      See ; Barrera/Marquez.

To the latter ; I don't see how you had the fight even.

Concepcion was landing some hard shots but Luevano was dictating the pace of the combat, making Concepcion fight his fight, and was dominating in the "ring generalship" category.

Furthermore ; I don't think that Luevano was only keeping him at bay. He was displaying some solid boxing skills whenever he wanted to, countering effectively, and just looked to be the better fighter to my eyes.

And from what I gather reading everybody's responses about the fight thus far ; I wasn't the only one who saw it that way.
Yeah I have levuano winning the fight until that sorry punch.

I was rooting for bernabe to win but he was so reluctant like he was afraid of luevano's power. If he wanted to win that championship, he should have gone for broke and throw all cautions to the wind. I'm disappointed.

Who cares. That was such a boring fight until that happened.

Luevano was doing a helluva job controlling distance but he wasnt landing ****. They played patty cake for 8 rounds with Luevano pawing that jab and concepcion picking em all off.

But i do like how Luevano was saying in the post fight interview " He never hurt me until he threw those 2 shots that put me down after the bell".

            LOL.

Ya.....he'll see that video plenty of times that he got his world rocked before the bell rang and it was just 1 shot after the bell that put him down.

Oh well. At least we know now for sure that Luevano cant take Concepcion's power.

              Respect.

I'd like to see a rematch, myself.

I found it to be interesting.

Not sure if that's because I had no intrest in Jones/Lacy whatsoever or not, but I'd be down to see them do it again.

Being both a huge Barrera fan, as well as a huge Marquez fan ; I remember the ref in that fight being Nady vividly.

And that call was total hore****.

Nady was over in the far corner, doing nothing like the typical douche he always is, and Barrera scores the cleanest of knockdowns I've ever seen ; that **** was textbook boxing.

And Nady just stands there like a jerkoff.

Well, if the referee doesn't rule something a knockdown ; the rule is to keep fighting.

Barrera did what any fighter is trained to do, and threw another punch.

Only then does Nady get off his ass to jump in and rob Marco of his KD, and also take a point away from him.

              It was pathetic.

Yeah I have levuano winning the fight until that sorry punch.

              I feel 'ya.

I'm a bit disappointed in Luevano though, as well.

I had high hopes for him this time last year.

But he really hasn't impressed me much since then and I still have a sour taste in my mouth from that Dib fight.

I mean Christ ; Dib was doing nothing at all in that fight. It was a prime example of a guy in the ring with you just begging to be knocked out (or down), and Luevano did jack **** about it.

Occasionally he'd get all angry and make some face at Dib like "you're gonna get it now" and then he proceeded to do nothing.

Concepcion I had seen very little of going into this fight but I wouldn't be surprised to see him make another run for the title in the near future.

He seems like my kind of fighter, so I'll be interested in seeing what unfolds after this mess.

Yeah I remember that Dib fight and my impression was Dib should change career and should be a back up dancer or something lol. Steven gave a good performance in that fight, it was Dib who turned it into a semi circus.

                      Indeed.

But I was also pissed at Luevano for not taking more chances.

He seemed pretty content to just go 12, while most of us watching it were hoping that it wouldn't go 5.

                      Dreadful fight.

The most boring fight I've seen since Taylor/Spinks, and prior to that ; Hopkins/Eastman.

                      **** was brutal.
