Beibut Shumenov lost today?

Alexeev will still do well, and perhaps Ortiz and Shumenov will as well.
Wladimir, who got me started watching boxing about ten years ago, came back from setbacks and is heavyweight champion today.Last edited by The Hammer; 08-15-2009, 09:10 PM.Comment

yea, most people dont look at Wladimir that way, but hes come back from some really discouraging losses.
not many people can do that.
Id be a liar and an idiot if I said that none of my prospects ever failed at the high level.
They just need to go back to the drawing board and learn from their mistakes...if they can, they can easily be top level in years to come.Comment

yep, theres only one way to cure inexperience. hopefully they all take that to heart and bounce back in a year or two.
hopefully they dont go the Andy Lee route, I havent heard about him in ages.Comment

Lee has actually fought three times since his loss to Vera against mediocre opposition, and will fight again this month. I doubt he will step up in competition any time soon however.Comment
