For whose ****** enough to believe the Tyson comback is serious..

Please understand that Mike Tyson is not a world class fighter anymore. His biggest win in the past ten years was over....Frans Botha, but if you believe Frank Bruno is a better fighter then the biggest win was over Bruno.
Tyson by todays standards is little more than a world class journeyman. He wins a few meaningless fights then gets beaten by a world class fighter. He is now 7 months removed from his 4th round KO loss to some guy i can`t remember his name....he`s British i think, anyway! Jeff Fenech, just like the wasted efforts of Freddie Roach, Ronnie Shields, Buddy McGirt, Jesse Reid and all the other Trainers Tyson blames for his short comings, is not gonna perform this miricle people are waiting on.
Fact: Apart from the 52 sec blowout of Ettiene Mike Tyson hasn`t won a fight in 4 and a half years.

Fact: The highest rated opponent Mike Tyson has DEFEATED, thats DEFEATED NOT FACED, since his release from prison in 1995 is Bruce Seldon!

Fact: Mike Tyson has not fought past the 8th round in nearly ten years.

So.......how is a near 39 yr old Tyson gonna suddenly be this awesome fighter you want him to be because of "Vodka and a splash" Jeff Fenech?
    How indeed....

It's easy to pick apart Tyson's record.

That doesn't tell the story of 'Iron' Mike Tyson. There's good reason that a washed up, long since past his prime Tyson is still a draw. It aint the freakshow element, it's the fear of what once was.

If you weren't around in the 80's, you'll never understand why people will always give Mike the benefit of the doubt.

I remember the 80s very well. I was a huge fan of Tyson back in the day. And it has been a sad journey of decline since then. Tyson has wasted his talent all the way, and now it is far too late to do anything about it. He is old, his reflexes gone, no heart, poor stamina and no longer able to throw a decent combination. Still, he is and will be a big draw for as long as he stays in boxing.

This has to do with the illusion of what once was, like you point out HayeFan, and given the fact that there is always some sort of turmoil with Tyson. Where ever he goes, trouble is never far away. Next to Ali, Tyson might very well be the biggest draw in boxing history.

But there has to be no doubt - as a contender, Tyson is finished!

Kimmy I can't call you a hater because all the points you have stated are indeed facts. I apologise to the Tyson fans if this offends you but you can not deny that what Kimmy has listed is in fact true.

Look tyson maybea shot fighter over more than 5 rounds, but even at 39 there isnt many fighters who could stand up to a fit 39 year old tyson for 5 rounds, Vlad and Klit included.
If Tyson actually bothered to train for 3 months solid hw would be able to KO 99% of the current HW division.

The problem is that he is so weak mentally that he can't get himself motivated. That is also the reason why he crumbles when he meets a foe who has more heart than him. All his physical gifts are there. All the would of, should of, could of really don't matter.

I used to admire Iron Mike. but he since has lost the focus, the killer instinct he had before. What's only left is the desire to survive and earn a living. So I'm really not taking his comeback seriously.
