    Lennox Lewis: Kind of Overrated

He would kayo every single currently active HW right now. Wlad wouldn't even last two rounds.

That said, I hear too much **** about his inside game. It's not even that good. He could put some pretty combos together inside and throw that nasty uppercut but if you wanna see a real inside technician, watch Bowe. A very fluid boxer on the inside. Parry, counter, etc. he did it all.

Rid**** Bowe is the most well-rounded super-heavyweight ever.

Perhaps, but he's not the most accomplished, unfortunately for him. That would probably be Lennox so I don't really think he's over-rated.

So you're discounting the fact that Bowe ducked Lewis in 1992 by throwing away the WBC belt because he got destroyed by him in the '88 Olympics.

Bowe also got hit alot more than Lennox did and didn't have the same commitment level.

Lennox was a technician when he wanted to be working behind the jab and straight right used against Tua, Morrison and Holyfield fights

Lennox could go to war and find success using his heart to pull him through like against Briggs

Lennox could starch a guy when he was behind on the cards and when he wanted to end a fight early with vindication (Rahman II, Bruno, Ruddock, Golata even the Vitali fight and the right hand that caused the cut and the huge uppercut that hurt Vitali)

Lennox could mix it up on the inside as well like evidenced against Mercer

              His arsenal was diverse

i think you need to re-think that last statement, lewis was by far the more rounded boxer, capable of making it a brawl and some of his inside fighting was better than you make out.

lewis is a guy that fights tall; his jab, reach and strength mean that he didn't get caught on the inside but when he did lewis showed a versatile repertoire. there was the uppercut as you rightfully mentioned but lewis also used his weight very well, leaning on smaller fighters and forcing them to become tired, he would also shorten his punches if fighting in mid/close range.

lewis was monster in his prime, a mountain of a man and imo no HW in history would beat a prime 100% focussed lewis.

working behind the jab and throwing the occasional right is not a technician's game. a technician has way, way, way more to his game. Lennox Lewis has a vastly superior arsenal to Wlad's but that's mainly b/c Wlad's arsenal consists of two punches and maintaining distance.

holyfield and Bowe are both better technicians than lewis.
