yeah it is. with **** like this and 24/7. i wont be suprised if this fight does numbers equal or slightly more than Pac/Cotto eventhoough this is a Tune UP and not a mega fight like Pac-Cotto
Floyd and his team really know how to market themselves. and any fighter hes facing benefits from that. with these vids it makes it seem as if the machine behind JMM is bigger than the one behind PAC eventthough thats not the case.
FLoyd is going to filet JMM...cant wait for this fight
i dont care whether people in denial dont want to admit but FLoyd is bringing an energy back to Boxing thats been missing since he left.
all boxers will step their game up with him being back...something special for boxing is coming with him being backLast edited by sycomantz; 08-15-2009, 05:15 AM.Comment

I can agree that Mayweather's return is good for boxing, and has generated a lot of attention for the sport.yeah it is. with **** like this and 24/7. i wont be suprised if this fight does numbers equal or slightly more than Pac/Cotto eventhoough this is a Tune UP and not a mega fight like Pac-Cotto

But that's only in the mainstream.
Boxing was doing just fine without him, and I doubt boxers are going to be "stepping up their game" just because Floyd is back ; their game is always top notch whether Floyd's around or not.
Just look at all the amazing fights that took place while he was retired.
That's really the only problem I have with Floyd fans ; they act as if the sport itself will completely turn to **** if he's not around.
Which may be true in a "mainstream" sense ; since he's the most public figure in boxing.
But the sport itself will be fine whether he's active or not.Comment

if anyone can beat floyd its marquez. cotto is too slow floyd would just pot shot him, and hes past his best too. pac isnt smart or skilled enough to beat floyd, JMM is a better fighter which he proved in his two fights with pac and again in his fights since. if anyone can find the holes in floyds game and match wits and skills with him its JMM. and thats the way to beat floyd, just being a strong guy or have power and speed isnt enough, floyd will out think them. but JMM might out think him. i like how hes working the double jab right hand to the chest combination, put a hook in there too and floyd might be looking up at the lights. current p4p king vs former p4p king, cant waitDamn this is good stuff, the shot of Robbie Peden throwing up

Anyhow, I am not betting on Marquez to win so I better find me some Marquez fans to come my way. I like JMM but this fight is not his to win. I hate to say it but I am hardly ever wrong about such fights. Even if the fight is close, which I doubt, Floyd will still get the nod.

i don't understand what you mean by the mainstream...do you mean people who are just casual boxing fans? if so...i completely agree...it's just that casual fans of anything are the ones who determine if something is successful or not...mma is taking over...and it's because boxing's casual fans are switching over...so sure...if you just left success up to the numbers generated by the hardcore boxing fans...boxing is fine...but that's not how it works...it loses the casual fans...and it's done with...that goes for damn near any sport...I can agree that Mayweather's return is good for boxing, and has generated a lot of attention for the sport.

Nice video... has it been shown on TV? If it has wouldn't it of had a watermark on it?
It kinda pumped me up even more for the fight!
