I can see it now.... The only reason Cotto will vacate the belt is because...

He gives up the belt to "Rebel" against the WBO.... He loses to Pacman... Comes back and fights a nobody for the Vacant WBO title.... He will beat the bum, and whaalaa, another belt to squat on!!!

Cotto should retire if he loses to Pacquiao.

I hate when people bring up this dumb as argument that he wins belts when they are vacant. He fights the best anyways so what's the diffrence if he beats fighters that have a belt or not if they are still the best in that division. People talk **** about the belts but the same people bring up this argument

But Cotto could become persona non-grata by the WBO and could be shunned in the future.

                Truth hurts huh?

What makes you think he is NOT doing it for this reason?

You think Arum wants Cotto to lose his belt in a fight? No, there is too big of a PR following....

Giving up his belt makes it look like he is standing up for something, when in actuallity, he is setting himself up for after the fight...

Cotto has NEVER beat a champion for a belt....

What did Cotto do after the Margs fight? GO FOR A VACANT BELT!!!

Why does it matter? If he fights the best. Belt or no belt he fights the best. Was it his fault Clottey got stripped right before Cotto fought him anwser me that

I'm 100% sure he doesn't care about the damn belt to begin with.

Manny, Roach and now Arum himself are trying to **** Cotto over the fact that the belt was never agreed on from the beginning and now they are pushing for it even after they ****d him on a 65-35 deal(even when Cotto is the CHAMPION AT HIS DIVISON, the fact that they want him to go down at 145 also pisses him off because they want the WELTERWEIGHT BELT AT A CATCHWEIGHT WHICH IS PLAIN ****ING RIDICULOUS TO BEGIN WITH.

                    1) 65-35 Deal

                    2) 145 Weight Limit

                    3) Belt on the line within the catchweight.

What's next? Cotto wearing high heels for the fight?
