not entierly, i mean winky did have ring rust, and getting old, but still a good win.

margo, quintana rematch, Sharmba Mitchell (57-5) wasnt a bad win either, and verno phillips was a decent win.

and like street said, soon to be pavlik lol

Where are you going with this thread Chicano? I like of how you get in these flame wars with the Cotto fans. But I don't understand your beef with Williams. This is the same Winky Wright who fought competitively with Bernard Hopkins rusty or not. And Margarito was on a high note where a win streak was concerned. Beating a guy with seven title defenses isn't anything to shake a stick at.

        You will see.

I honestly don't have beef with Williams apart from this most feared crap. Believe me I felt the same with Margarito.

Winky, because he's never been dominated like that since very early in his career!!

          Margarito.nuff said!!

1st guy to stop Phillips in how long??

Quintana 2 was ok,but Kolle showed the Punisher has ko power at 160(so does Winky's face though)!!

Walter Mattyse was a legite contender until the tall skinny man ended that!!

Ok, I've seen some of Williams fans that say Margarito is very overrated.

If that's the case, then why is he on top of the list of many posters on here??

Hell yes I give him credit. He fought at Winkys weight, and Winky has never been beaten up physically before, also the first round as well as the middleroun ds show that Winky was game and was there to win, he just got outworked. Huge win if you ask me.

Winky- because while Winky was getting up there and had been off he looked in decent condition, also Williams beat the piss out of him.

Margarito- He was at his best and Williams beat him cleanly.

Verno Phillips- he was getting up there and was lucky to beat Spinks but Williams took him behind the woodshed

Quintana II- It is always good to avenge a loss by first round knockout

I thought Winky's best weight in his career was at 154 though??

I think Margarito was very overrated even though it was an excellent win for Williams. I'm not all the way convinced that he cheated against Cotto like some people claim (especially the Cotto **** riders on this forum). But I think once he beat Cotto, Margarito's heart turned into cotton candy and he wasn't the same guy that fought Paul Williams. I think the Margarito that fought Williams and steam rolled Cotto in the late rounds probably would've lasted the distance with Mosley maybe. But he just turned into a total piece of **** once he hit the mountain top.
