Mundine is indeed a joke. He has a shaky jaw (knocked out with one punch by Ottke) and since his humiliating loss to kessler he hasn't fought any top fighters. He is talented enough, and has alright speed but that has started to drop off in the last few years.
He can probably beat or at least be competitive with a few top 10 contenders at 160, but instead he prefers to fight exclusively in Australia. Many thought Geale beat him but i thought Mundine probably did just enough to win.
In 2006 he was at his best, back then I would have given him a chance to maybe pick up an alphabet strap at 168, but now he has dropped off a little, and his tough fight with Geale has probably eroded any chances of him achieving something on the world stage.

Here is Mundine Resume Of Oppostion fought..............
-Sven Ottke (24-0) #1 SM In The World. Mundine takes this fight after only 10 fights and no amature expreince. (Ottke is also one of the best amatures of all time, in the amatures he beat the likes of Antonio Tarver and Juan Carlos Gomez)
-Antwun Echols (29-4) Echoles was a world class amature, was considred one of the biggest punchers in the sport at the time, and was rated #3 in the world by Ring Magazine.
-Manny Siaca A fomer world champion, and also a two time world title challanger. (Was a very good amature in his native PR)
-Mikkel Kessler Number #1 SM in the world, carried at 35-0 record and was WBA SM Champion)
-Danny Green Green was a world class amature who went to the 2000 Olympics Games. Going into the Mundine fight he was a top 5 ranked fighter. Since the Mundine fight Green has went on to become a 2 weight world champion.
-Sam Solimanx3. Mundine is the only ever fighter to knock out the tricky Soliman. Winky Wright, Enrique Ornelas, Sakio Bika, Raymond Joval, and Howard Eastman all fought Soliman and cound't KO him, thats pretty good win, he also beat Soliman twice on points.
Some people also think Sam beat the then #2 P4P Winky Wright, Sam also holds wins over the likes of Sakio Bika and Enrique Ornelas.
-Shannan Taylor Former two time world title challenger, who took Arthur Abraham the full 12, Going into the Mundine fight was ranked number #10 by the WBA, and at one point in 1998 was ranked by Ring Magazine
-Daniel Geale was 21-0, rated by Ring Magazine, was IBO world Champion. Held wins over 29-0 and Daniel Dawson and had defeated JR European Amature Champion Geard Ajetovic.
He was also a world class amature. he was a 5 time national Aussie amature champion, represented Australia at the Olympic games and had won the 2002 Commonwealth games.
How is this fighting nobodies then? Mundine has fought both of the best SMW in the world, fought great contenders, and champions. Big wow he fought a few stay busy fights, all the ATG Fighters have. But you look at his real resume.

No doubt it will be a $49.99 pay per view, another reason why i hate mundine, he could at least put his fights on ordinary pay tv where they belong.
