I dont think he would have beaten Chavez, considering how much trouble JL Ramirez gave him, and those two are fairly similiar style wise(not surprising, they were sparring partners for years).

Mayweather imo would be able to pot shot his way to a win, just stylistically he had the speed and cunning to get away with a win, but it wouldnt be an easy task either.

I think Arguello would have beaten Pacquiao. Imagine the Marquez fights/the 1st Morales fight, and then consider that Arguello is a nasty powerful puncher and also has reach/height advantage. Arguello was a pretty darn good counter puncher.

I love Barrera, but Arguello would have taken him out. his right hands would have eventually found a home, and Barrera always did have trouble with guys that could throw a lot of quick, hard straight punches.

U think Arguello would of almost certinatly beat Floyd?

I think that might be his hardest fight.

Floyd is a decent welter, Arguello could be pot shotted, and maybe countered.

I think Chavez - Arguello would have been an amazing war. Chavez at SFW was fast and a big puncher. Their styles would have been a great macthup. But i can see Arguello winning from the outside, maybe rocking Chavez with some big shots.

iv always rated arguello and would be interested to see how you guys think he would do against some of todays fighters at 135

arguello vs campbell, juan diaz, JMM, pacman, casamayor, guzman, floyd,

how do you see the fights playing out - truthfully i think arguello would beat them all even a 135lb floyd

              I doubt it.

no offense to Arguello, but I doubt he could beat Chavez. If Ramirez could give Arguello this much trouble and even drop him(arguably beating him in this fight...), I think Chavez would have walked away with it. good matchup and everything, but Chavez was like a righty, better all around version of Ramirez.
