Johnson was an awesome fighter. He just ran into Rafael Marquez a couple of times.
He was a very good fighter for a while but I think in history people will remember him for his loses.
I think that about Tim Austin too actually. -

By the time Mark Johnson fought Rafael Marquez he was already faded and was thinking about retirement. Even though he was past his prime he gave Raf all he could handle in the first fight, and after losing to Raf in the rematch, he was able to rebound with a win over over Fernando Montiel.
