The Contender was dropped by VS network and they are now looking at spike or USA network for season 5. To be honest, both networks will do just fine if they pick this show. Tony Danza is gone and Sugar Ray Leonard will be the host again.

The Pretender is entertaining but the boxers who come out of it only get their asses kicked.

To be honest, the show is a blessing to those guys. I can't believe that guy like Manfredo, who sucks in the ring and has no markeable image at all (he kind of looks like a cross between a crocodile and an in-breed hillbilly) can be fighting in relatively big cards and getting good money. I would like to see a LWW season, as mentioned a few months back.

You don't even know me, why would you say that? A friend I know keeps in touch with one of the Contenders and that is what he told her and she told me this yesterday. He has never lied or been wrong about what he says when it comes down to what the Contender people are doing. He also said he wants out of his contract with the Contender. He says that Jeff Wald is not a promoter per say, not in the sense like Arum or ODLH.
