    Cotto needs Evangelista back.

With the upcoming fight between Cotto-Pacquiao, alot of people are riding the Pacman bandwagon because of his explosive wins over De La Hoya and Hatton. Needless to say, I didn't give Pacquiao much chance againest De La Hoya, I saw De La Hoya becoming the bigger man with his left hook hurting the little man. Of course, De La Hoya came in noticeably weight-drained and had no answer for Pacquiao's speed. I for one, give Pacquiao the credit in the world for doing what he did that night. Nobody gave him a chance ; so whether De La Hoya was weight-drained or not, it's a legit win. In the Hatton win, Pacquiao became the first to knock out the 140 champion in his natural weight division and in a fight where Hatton was "renewed", "improved" and the "bigger" guy. We've seen Pacquiao improve alot since his early days to become a force and it really showed in that fight. Now Pacquiao is in the ring with Cotto.. You would think Pacquiao has no chance in this fight. Cotto is a younger, fresher in-his-prime skilled boxer with power who has been in there with the heavy hitters and won big fights. A speed boxer is also nothing new to Cotto. The only problem is, what will be Cotto's gameplan? I say this because while I know Cotto is comfortable with Joel Santiago there is indeed a problem. What was Cotto's gameplan during the Clottey fight? Can you really say Joel Santiago was the reason Cotto won that fight? I'm sorry but no. Cotto won that fight on his own skill and will. People tend to forget Cotto fought Clottey with a very bad cut and still stood on his fight and fought back. Cotto took advantage of Clottey's ridiculous workrate and stole rounds. I had it 114-113. Back to the point, againest a boxer like Pacquiao, who has improved alot and has the speed to kill - you need a gameplan. You can't expect to go into training camp to work on mits, weight, sparring with the idea of a jab ; hook to win the fight. You need more, you need a experienced trainer who knows you very well and has guided you success. Which we come to the conclusion ladies and gentlemen - Cotto needs to reunite with his uncle. Joel Santiago can't take Cotto over the bridge of what he once was ; only his uncle can. Cotto needs to either put aside the differences and get his uncle back or come November 14, he's in for a rude awakening. I feel Santiago doesn't bring ringsmarts with him while Evangelista knows what he can do with Cotto out there. This is a guy who knows Cotto up and down, grew up with him and led him to success. Evangelista can get Cotto back to where he was preMargarito where has an unstoppable force. Another option for Cotto is Emmanuel Steward, rumored to be willing to help Cotto but hasn't gotten contacted yet. Steward is one who does well with a power puncher who lets them get to boxing basics and use the jab to set up everything esle well. Cotto's stiff jab is probably one of the best in the game and I feel that is truely the key to this fight. I just hope Cotto gets his corner game mapped out without Santiago cause Pacquiao isn't someone who will fold againest the bigger guy. He'll take advantage of Cotto's lack of a gameplan and possibly knock Cotto out. This is Cotto's biggest fight to date, he wins his career continues to superstardom ; yet if he loses he lost to the smaller guy who while yes a great fight one Cotto can beat and also puts his future of his career in question.
Very interesting. I will have to agree that he needs to get back with his uncle.

I think its safe to say him and his Uncle are never going to work together. He's still trying to sue Miguel, how in the hell does anyone expect them to get along?

Mayweather Sr. is just a phone call away. He can teach Cotto how to move his head while goin' forward like the way Hatton did when he fought Pacquiao.

Dude, I took off work today and saw Gangland on the history channel. You are totally right.

It's a bunch of dudes bragging.

I was cracking up because like every five minutes they give a definition of a term used on the street

Like strap= a handgun used by criminals to kill people.

I mean they give definitions every 5 minutes in between the gang member's bragging and then the cops saying how dangerous this particular gang is.
Today's show had Alaskan Crips bragging that when the snow melts, murder is on the menu.

Why not get with Ignacio Beristain? He knows Pacquiao very well, cotto and Nacho both speak spanish. This seems like it'll be a good combo.
