Whatever. Pinoys been boxing waaaay before Puerto Ricans. Like I posted earlier

we been around since Pancho Villa 1920's, Benjamin Montana 1930s, Ceferino Garcia 1940's, Salvador Marino 1950's, Garbriel Elorde 1960's, Ben Villaflor 1970's, Rolando Navarrete 1980's, Luisito Espinosa 1990's, Pacquiao 2000's.

Not bad for a country sooo much further than PR to the Mecca of boxing.

It's not or never been your countries number 1 sport, like it is in Puerto Rico.

We've been living and breathing boxing a lot longer as a country in whole than any other country in the world...

I don't think Cotto will beat Pac but a KO win is not out of the realm of possibility for Cotto...

I see nothing wrong with a PR having faith in his boy even though he's an underdog, that's just being loyal no matter what!

                    who gives a fuck?

it still doesn't change the fact that PR has contributed more to boxing than the phillipines through out boxing history.

Even if it is not we still have had great fighters out of the Philippines. Who can deny Elorde, Villa, Garcia as ATG fighters. Reason Boxing is not the P.I. number 1 sport is because they have to come to the U.S. to make a good living and the P.I. is far far away. Poorer countries who have had the most success and impact in boxing have been the closest to the U.S.. Nobody can deny PR and Mexico as premier boxing countries. P.I. is getting recognition because of the growing numbers and support of Pinoys in the U.S.. So lets hope Pinoy boxing flourishes and Pinoys in the U.S. continue to support it post Pacquiao.
