Hate to break it to you, but Dawson will win unless he gets KOd, he has home field advantage.

Sure Dawson has a huge career ahead of him, but Gary Shaw needs to get him fighting more often instead playing politics. It's sad that this fight is on November 7, but HBO has no dates for Dawson/Johnson except for November. That's why I hate when boxers sign contracts with television networks, boxers should be free to what network they want to be televised in. Mayweather Jr one time had a fight televised on TNT, I don't know why boxing matches can't be on TNT.

That firmly said from him, makes me put Chad a strong over dog.

Looking forward to it though, just odd to hear him saying Jones or Hopkins next.
yep. i see dawson winning this fight, much like he did against tarver....11-1 or 10-2.

he was hurt, but johnson didn't finish. truth is, dawson was able to box from the outside, and it was his fight, except when he decided to unnecessarily mix it up w/ johnson. he's right, glen johnson is 1 dimensional. chad is younger and faster, he just needs to throw combos and use his legs. he beats the hell outta glen johnson this time.

wasn't dawson talking about retiring in 2-3 years?

This will be another competitive fight, Dawson will win it more clearly this time imo.

it'll be competitive b/c johnson has that "come forward" style, so even if he's getting his ass beat, he'll keep coming forward. but dawson busts his ass this time.

He said that he wanted to retire, now he says he wants to make a legacy for himself.

I don't know why threads about this fight get hardly any posts, but this fight should get a lot more attention on the forum than it gets. I'm not a Dawson fan, but I'm very interested in this match up. And I did think I read something about Dawson wanting to retire by age 30. I understand not getting your brains beat in and getting all the money you can. But when I hear that kind of talk, I question the mental toughness of guys when they say things like that. Jermaine Taylor and Miguel Cotto are examples of guys who have questionable stamina and their will is easily broken when they are matched up against certain opponents.

He said he thought about it, but he also said that he wants to continue boxing as long as he can and make legacy for himself. Dawson understands he has the potential to one of the best LHW's and a great boxer.
