Clottey and Williams have better chins than Miguel Cotto

I'm not sure u can necesrrily say that. First off Clottey has a much more defensive style so he doesn't get hit as cleanly as Cotto does. So Clottey will be less likely to get hurt or KO'd but I don't think we can definitely say he has a better chin. Cotto caught Clottey clean a few times in exchanges and appeared to hurt him.
Same goes for PW's. What heavy hitter has he faced? He did go the distance with Marg but he also got hit a lot less than Cotto did.
To be honest Cotto's chin has been very good at 147. He was worn down by margarito (for whatever reason) it wasn't his chin.Comment

he should have lost to clottey and mosley, only 1 official loss.
but anyway he is in a fight against a former 106 lbs fighter and the odds are still against him
thats a shame, but he is in a lose lose situation, if he wins he beat a former flyweight big deal, if he loses he lost to a flyweight
As far as Pacquiao being the favorite, try to use a little bit of the intellect you might posses. Pacquiao's knocked out Hatton and Oscar back to back, so if you understand how Vegas odds makers dictate the odds of a fight, it's heavily based on popularity.
And the last time I checked, Pacquiao's the 140lb champ. He hasn't fought at 106 since possibly before you were born considering your posts parallel that of a 10 year old.Last edited by Ravishing; 08-13-2009, 12:40 PM.Comment

Haha exactly, he's acting like he's telling Cotto fans what we didn't already know. Unfortunately having a better chin doesn't always make you a better fighter or a better draw.Comment

In the sports world, we don't judge athletes by what they "should've" or "could've" done.

You have to give Pacquiao credit for the Hatton win because he was STILL the 140lb champ and no one had beaten him for the title. It was only after he got KO'd the way he did that people called him washed up. There comes a point where you gotta give the devil his due.Comment

But the general public doesn't see it that way which again brings me to the point why he is favored over Cotto. There's writers that have already retracted their predictions in the fight for the same reason the Vegas odds makers are picking Pacquiao to win: The Hype.
