The major issues I have with this are:

- Gatti's death goes from crime scene to suicide.

- It's initially reported Amanda gave conflicting statements on the happenings and this is what got her locked up to begin with.

- Amanda tries to suggest a break in and killing originally... not this 'he was depressed' ****.

- The multiple accounts of her trying to get her hands on Arturo's money (that include Gatti's legal rep speaking on this).

- The bizarre stance of insisting Arturo break all contact with his 3 year old daughter. This speaks selfishness and apathy in volumes to me. There is no good character trait I can spin on this to add to Amanda's now public profile.

Just because she is squeezing out some tears now does not make all of that go away.

According to witnesses at the bar/restaurant:
* During their loud argument, Gatti half-picked Amanda up by her chin and threw her to the ground one-handed.
* a hotel-security came to see what was going on and intervene and Gatti tagged him flush in the face.
* people nearby started angrily shouting and some started throwing stones and rocks at Gatti, one of which struck him on the back of the head.
* Gatti got into a cab with his Jr, leaving Amanda there (the blood from his head was found on this 1st cab that he took - DNA tested)
* the manager of the restaurant requested Amanda another cab - when she got to the apartment she had to wait for Arturo to pay the cab because she didn't have money with he...but Arturo wasn't there (he'd left Jr by himself inside and went back to the restaurant to pick up Amanda - by the way on the 2nd cab the he took was his blood as well)
* Gatti arrived back at apartment, paid both cabs, he and Amanda both went inside the flat.

Following that, and depending on what you believe, Gatti died sometime between 2am and 4am.

Than he was a lot stronger than I thought if he could do that while terribly drunk and holding a baby.

My gut feeling tells me this is a set up. To people saying that ''She was crying'' and such. This woman who put a hit on her husband cried when the police told her her husband had been murdered. To her surprise it was a set up and she now faces prison.

Human beings can be callous, things like tears and words mean nothing a guilty person isn't going to behave guilty.

I'm pretty sure Amanda is innocent...and this is a totally different personal viewpoint to that I had 3 weeks ago...but I've read the facts that've been released...I've read what Gatti's managers and friends have said and I've read and heard Amanda's interviews - all explaining their side of the story.

I've also spoken to someone who worked in forensics labs and she continued education classes there to keep their lab license. She said they hammered the '120lb-woman-killing-the-full-grown-man' theory to death in these classes.
Why?
Because when the man dies in a situation where he is involved in a tumultuous relationship with a woman the woman is ALWAYS suspect #1 with the police.
Her forensic team had to figure out what the hell happens to the man to cause his death. In an instance where the man hasn't been shot, stabbed, poisoned or hit over the head, the first thing they do is figure out the weight of his partner and see if they can react the strangulation with her exact weight against his (and remember, with Gatti, just because he was drinking doesn't mean he couldn't have fought her off.)
Anyway, however, women are NOT physically strong enough to strangle grown men as a usual rule of thumb according to the forensic team. Once in awhile a woman is tall enough and strong enough to take on a grown man, but it is highly unusual according to the forensic teams research. Believe it or not, this situation is not as rare as you might imagine. That is why they went over it so much.
Theory #1: Amanda Rodrigues strangled and then hanged Arturo Gatti? No.

So, with that out of the way, this leads us to 'she-got-in-one-or-more-men-to-help-her'. So, you're telling me, two thugs off the street, gained entry to their apartment, knocked Gatti unconsious then looked around and thought, "hey, look: there's a purse. Let's cut the strap off, strangle him, then hang him and it makes it look like a suicide".
Yeah, like, they really thought that one out on the spot, right there.
Wrong: cab driver #1 that waited to get paid, cab driver #2 that bought Gatti back for the last time AND the security-guard at Ancorar resort (and you know full-well, an upmarket place like that has security-guards): all three confirmed to police that they saw Arturo and Amanda go upstairs together.
Theory #2: Amanda Rodrigues and/or other men strangled and then hanged Arturo Gatti? No.

I guess that leaves a morose, drunken Gatti seeing what he did to his wife, realising he'd left little Jr in the apartment on his own, experiencing a mob abusing him for his actions and with the possibility that his wife, who weeks before he'd renewed his marriage vows with in Paris....would finally leave him and take Jr back to Brazil for good.
I reckon that'd get anyone down.
What really is disturbing too, is this general opinion aming boxing fans that 'Gatti-was-such-a-warrior-he'd-never-kill-himself' train of thought...from Chuck Zito to Mickey Rourke to the thousands that have had this weird 'man-crush' on Arturo. I keep reading about this over-the-top macho character they wanted Gatti to be.

Superhero's don't get all drunk and end it all in seaside resorts in Brazil. (yeah, they don't get strangled by women with purse-straps, either)
Theory #3: Arturo Gatti hangs himself with rucksack strap (after first using a steak-knife to cut handbag strap which he put around his neck and attempted-but-failed first time - hence blood on strap and knife on floor)? Like Penry, the mild-mannered janitor aka Hong-Kong Phooey would say: "Couuldd be!!!!"


Furthermore...we now hear the 2nd autopsy results may take months to complete and be known.
WTF?
It does not take months - Michael Jackson's was done in a day and results released in a week.
Methinks the Canadians can't find jack-**** to point the finger at Amanda Rodrigues and they're stalling, bigtime.
