How can cotto be p4p number 1 when he's only been in like 2 weightclass...and is ranked 9 on p4p...if pac loses then who ever win floyd-marquez becomes number 1 and pac because 2 and I guess cotto can go to 6 or something...

Literally the same exact post in every thread and the only reason you put this is to say Cotto sucks if he loses and he was the bigger guy if he won. Just stop posting, please. You do realize that Paq, in every fight before 140 would also hydrate back about 15 pounds don't you? Also, size has zero to do with this fight or any fight for that matter. Manny uses speed to beat his opponents, thus he doesn't need all the bulk on his body. Cotto uses power, thus he NEEDS the extra bulk on his body its his style. To say that weight is the only reason someone should win a fight is completely ******, so just stop. Yes, Cotto will have a weight ADVANTAGE and Manny will have the speed ADVANTAGE. The entire basis of winning the fight for either one of these guy is to be fast and not get hit in Manny's case and for Cotto its offset Manny's speed and just beat the hell out of him with power shots. The size has **** to do with it, if it did Mayweather should have lost to DLH and Baldomir using your Neanderthal logic.

Back on topic, if Cotto does win he is not P4P #1, but I could see him at being #2. Mayweather or Marquez would be number one whoever wins, and if Cotto beats Paq I'm not sure how you couldn't have him anywhere else but 2. I mean, he just beat the best P4P in the world, and he also beat another P4P guy in Mosley.

cause many many of these threads have the same topic.

but cotto is the bigger guy and he will suck if he loses to a former 106 lber.

            right after you.

post proof of every one of his fights before 140 please.

I never said weight is the only reason, but it is the biggest reason. the weight just tells you how much bigger and stronger cotto is compared to pac.

yeah... weight has nothing to do with it... so pbf vs calderon is a fair fight right? there's a reason why there are weight divisions.

there's no ****in way cotto passes up mosley on the p4p list until he beats mosley again.

I was kind of siding with Cotto in this fight because of Pacquiao's diva like behavior. But now, not so much. I don't care if Cotto loses to Pacquiao and becomes an after thought. His fans are some stuck up and whiny individuals. They won't even give any credit to Paul Williams for fighting a champion at his natural weight class. Yeah, Cotto may have to go a little bit outside of his element by dropping a pound or two to fight Pacquiao. But it isn't the same as dropping a bunch of weight or gaining a bunch of weight. I'm just disappointed in Pacquiao for taking the path of least resistance, and I know if he wins this fight, it will be considered an acheivement when #1, he is not fighting Cotto at his best weight. #2, Mosley is the tougher match up and has a better claim to being the champion at 147.
