For the people bitching about weight ins and pre/weight ins

Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon and Roman "Rocky" Martinez shine in top form for their respective commitments to the next September 12 as part of the cartel "undefeated Champions" to be presented at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot.

Calderon flies junior champion of the World Boxing Council (OMB) and who will face a second time to Filipino Rodel Mayol (25-3-1, 19 nocauts), weighed 118 pounds from a peak of 124.2 in the first prepesaje required by the Professional Boxing Commission of Puerto Rico (CBPPR). The double world monarch stepped on the scale with clothes, shoes and even bandages on his hands.

"I pesarme well because I'm coaching and I am not going to remove everything to pesarme also knew that I'm okay. After breakfast and everything and look at the weight I gave," Calderon said this afternoon after prepesaje.

As for the battle to Mayol, Calderon said, being prepared in the same way to make your work as ever, but "this time we will move more like a fight of mine forever."

Martinez (22-0-1 and 13 nocauts), for its part, will make his first defense of the junior lightweight belt before the OMB Mexican Michael Lozada (35-5 and 24 nocauts) and was also in good condition by dialing 138 pounds of a maximum of 149.5.

"We are working hard to make a big fight in Puerto Rico, which is what we wanted. Let's see what my rival has to make a plan and successfully defend the title," said Martinez, a native of Vega Baja.

The only bitching is how people disregard the weight a fighter actually fights at and places emphasis on a weight they are at 30 hrs earlier which is nowhere near what they are in the fight ,,,,,, if that aint real dumb I dont know what is .

My only beef with weights, is someone blowing up 15lbs or more after a weigh-in. Too many ppl dismiss it because they made weight the day before, as if the actual fight the next day doesn't even matter.

The point is, that it doesnt matter how much they gain, because everybody fights under the same rules and advantages/disadvantages.

If you put this so called same day weight ins, the what you are doing its just moving people one divsion up, thats all.

              Weights are find!!!!!!!

You're aware that some fighters blow up far more than others can and do? Paul Williams comes to mind.

Dudes like you would have a valid point,

if the bigger fighter always won.

But it doesn't happen that way.
