Not saying it will happen. But what would become of Paul Williams? He isn't exactly lighting up the ticket boxes and he already has a tough time getting fights. If he losses to Pavlik, things could get rough for PWill.

    Just sayin.

Then P. Williams will be yesterdays "hype job" and Pavlik will be once again "flavor of the month" candidate.

        Peace.

          Two things:

1). Pavlik will officially "be back" and will create some buzz around him once again. Anyway you slice it knocking out Williams is an accomplishment (the man has a chin!).

2). Williams goes back to 147. His career wouldn't be hurt that badly because everyone, including himself, will just say 160 was too big for Williams. In fact, it could be a blessing in disguise because Williams beats anyone at 147, just about. Of course he would need to re-establish himself at 147, first having to beat some of the guys on the bottom part of the totem pole and it will always be tricky for him to land fights against guys like cotto, mosley, & mayweather.

But I don't see that happening. I think if Williams were to lose, he'll lose by decision. And if that happens, he'll stay at 154.

            Haha, I like that one.

I don't think it's really out of the realm of possibilities. Williams is up against a bigger man with MUCH more power.

Well if people are afraid to fight him now (besides Pavlik, Clottey, Dzinziruk and Martinez,) then don't you think they'll be more likely to fight him after seeing him get knocked out?

That's actually what I was thinking but I don't know if he'd be in line for big fights if he gets KOed.

He'll just drop down to 147-154, that's all.

It will be an outright disgrace...Williams is very questionable on alot of fronts, his power is #1 & a close second is seeing how he will do with someone who is his size. Pavlik would do himself a world of good scoring a KO here.
