Arreola is around or is 6'4, Williams was taller than him.

If Williams is 6'1, Margarito is 5'9 and Wright 5'8.

I made the point earlier in this thread that Williams arm length is actually slightly shorter than Wlad's. I believed this to be the more accurate measurement (as well as HBO apparently) but after putting some thought into I would say it's a flawed form of measurement as well as wingspan. The reason being is because when a fighter throws a punch their shoulder is out in front and this lengthens the range thus shoulder width is coming into play. The problem with the wingspan measurement is it measures from fingertip-to-fingertip and therefore it's including finger length. It's also deceiving since if a fighter has a 2" wingspan advantage this really only means 1" per side (including fingers).

If the arm length measurements from HBO are accurate (and I take them with a grain of salt) then it would have to mean that Williams has wider shoulders and/or longer fingers based on the wingspan measurements.

The listed measurements are a joke. Arreola is clearly less that 6'4" and Williams clearly taller than 6'1".

            6'2 1/2" Pavlik next to 6'1" Taylor

6'1" Williams next to 6'4" Arreola

Good points. Whatever the best measurement may be, clearly Williams has some long ass arms just by looking at him fight. I guess we wont really be able to tell until they are standing face to face.

I honestly believe pavlik is 6'2". he was evidently a little taller than hopkins and he looks like a solid 6'2. that first pic doesent do enough justice, could have been taylor wearing shoes, pavlik not because taylor i beluieve is 6'1. i think arreola is a solid 6'3. williams is 6'3, maybe even 6'4.

Yea, no doubt. I was just ranting about some thoughts that came to mind but he definitely has some long arms. I'm starting to think that HBO's measurements are complete BS for the most part because I find it very hard to believe Pacqauio's arm's are only 1/2" shorter then Williams (they have his arm length at 25").

No doubt Williams is taller than Pavlik, but he doesn't fight tall, so it shouldn't be an issue. The reach advantage is much more important, Pavlik can't hang with Paul on the inside and Paul's reach will make it difficult to do much work from the outside as well.

Alot of people overlook pwills inside game. For being such a long fighter hes a beast in the pocket. I think that is gonna add an extra dimension to this fight.
