Antonio Tarver has 33 fights and he's 40, Chavez has 39 at 23.

Juan Diaz beat Acelino Freitas for a world title when he was 23 in his 32nd fight.

Chavez needs to step up soon IMO before he becomes irrelevant by losing to some bum or something.

Chavez Jr is already irrelevant and I don't even think he had a amateur career. He's even struggled with some bums. The kid is as green as baby ****. He's no where near ready to step it up, let alone against a Welterweight prospect like Alvarez lol.

But Arum is getting annoying by pushin Jr in peoples faces like he's his father, tryin to steal some quick cash off his name with PPV's an ****. But that **** is bogus. That's just Arum's black magic. If the people down there were up on their fight game, Arum wouldn't even be able to steal their money.

Alvarez should seriously focus on real competition, **** the lame ****. Right now Chavez Jr would be a step backwards and a premature sense of victory. But than again, Alvarez and his team might be trying to push this fight for the money it would bring in down there.

If anything, they should see if he can make 140 for a quick belt in the near future. If he can make 140 and feel and perform healthy, he could be a beast for a minute in that division. But if he does want Jr, and he won't settle for less. They should definitely consider makin the fight at like 150 or somthin. In the mean time, I wonder if they could go down a division briefly..
Since he was 16, he's fighting at Welter.

Their team had already said many times, that he cannot make the Jr. Welterweight limit,

Mannnnn...he could have wrecked **** down at Jr WW. But he is a big kid, a big body for his age. But that's really disappointing to hear. If he does move up, he'd have to choose his fights wisely and shouldn't get too comfortable. Even at 154lbs, fighters look too big for him. I don't know much more he'll grow or how much stronger he'll get, but He looks like he'll be stuck at 147 for a while.

Yes that is what it looks,

But in the future if moves up, he could be an Abraham Type of fighter or a Dwight Muhammad Qawi

Jose Sulaiman is working hard to get Chavez his WBC belt. When that happens and he gets defenses going maybe Alvarez will magically become a mandatory when he finally moves up.

No it can't you old ****.

Chavez is going life and death and barely winning against journeymen, Vanda and Cuello took it to him. He doesn't even like to train. Chavez is a loss waiting to happen, he's Duddy level, Arum knows this.

Now that both of them are undefeated is the biggest time for that fight.
