How exactly is he overrated? Even more so, how does his anything about him even remotely mirror that of Victor Ortiz?

This guy needs to step up his game. He needs to stop being like chavez jr and fight some good competition.

Good stuff, Jake. Like always. There's nothing that can be added or subtracted from the piece.

I just want to toss in this observation about the "Pinoy Power 2" card:

It also has Mark Jason Melligen taking on the veteran Ernesto Zepeda in the undercard. The step up in the quality of opposition for Melligen is a bit late but better late now than even more late, later.

Zepeda lost to Steve Forbes years ago but it was a close one. And, while he was subsequently stopped by Demetrious Hopkins and Julio Diaz, he also has stoppage wins over former WBC Lightweight champ Cesar Bazan and former contender Justin Juuku, who was competitive before losing in his world title tries against Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Diego Corrales. ("Competetive" is used *******ly here. It means nothing more than that Juuku was credited with a handful of rounds before having been stopped on both occassions).

Zepeda is very experienced at the level of world class competition and has power (34 stoppages in 39 wins). Thus, to me, he is Melligen's best test. Yet. I'd like to see how the Filipino fares (specifically, his chin). It's been a while since I last saw a Melligen fight.

Nah. IMO, he's the real deal. You cannot compare him to Ortiz. Much more intelligent plus he has heart. Ortiz is good until he got hit.

This is hilarious. Name one Chavez Jr. foe that even comes remotely close to Vic Darchinyan or I`ll make it even easier for you, how about Nonito`s last victim, Martinez. Name one. Last I heard, JCC jr. hasn`t won a title yet. This sounds like a hater post.

At least Nonito hasn`t ducked anyone. Pelenchin has been calling out and embarassing Juan Ma in public and all Juan Ma has in return are excuses. Nonito has not achieved greatness yet but please be real and don`t compare him to JCC jr.
