not only did he slow down, but his punching power has soften. against hernandez (am i correct - the last fight before barrera?), he was not able to knock out the smaller fighter. not only does he (morales) lacks speed, but also power.
Seems like a marketing ploy to me. Erik has problems with southpaws??? thats utter BS his hardest fights have been against orthodox fighters.
As he said he's knocked out almost every southpaw he's faced.
Like I said before you shouldn't really rely on training stories. Both fighters can knockout every sparring partner put in front of them but sparring partners are rarely better than the fighter they will be facing in the ring.
Actually I was kinf of looking at it like Pac eats MAB who eats EM. But your way also does the trick, buddy.
That's utter BS. Morales can be broken down by a body attack, just like anyone, it just has to be good enough.
You'll see.
You said it yourself it just has to be good enough. No fighter in the lower weights goes to the body like Barrera, and in the first fight he couldnt do it what makes you think Pacquiao will be able to.
The body attack certainly helped MAB beat Morales but his body atack wasn't non stop. I'm talking a body attack like Mike McCallum. Obviously it would have to be a very good body attack.
In any case, I have to agree that Manny won't win on a body attack, but I'm just saying that any fighter can be beatdown to the body.
I just think Pacquiao's gonna **** up Morales' face, not really his body.
He does not have to kill him completely to the body just slow him down which Barrera did. Pac hits harder and is faster than Barrera so if he goes to the body it will take its toll. Then in late rounds Pac and try and go for the kill.
