If the great Salvador Sanchez has not passed???

Do you think he would have been top 5 ever? he had everything to become a dominant fighter for many years. chavez is regarded as one of the greates, but from the tapes that i have seen, Sanchez puts his Chavez's skills to shame. I truly believe that he would be top 5. Your thoughts on this legendary man?

Would have been top 10. his resume at 23 was outstanding.

probably not. but top 10 or 20 is very very possible. although i feel arguello would have a great chance beating him at lightweight.

        Hard to say.

But given his natural talent, and all he already had accomplished by the young age of 23 ; I don't think it's out of the question at all.

It's amazing to consider what a legend Sanchez is despite the fact that his career was ended while he was in his prime fighting years.

it's hard to put the word Great on a fighter who beat little red lopez, overweight WILFREDO GOMEZ, and bearly servived against NELSON who only had 13 fights and never gone past 8 rds!!! SORRY, BUT GREATNESS WAS NEVER ESTABLISHED.

Impossible to say. Sanchez was a hell of a fighter, but top 5, top 10, even top 20...those are all real difficult to reach given the history of the sport.

I think Sanchez had the style, skills, and frame to be successful at higher weights.

I would've liked to see him fight Pedroza however, and of course had he not died, rematched Nelson.
