roach is just talking as any trainer would. difference is when most trainers talk it doesn't make espn news , ring magazine , etc.

if you interview cotto's trainer right now , he's not gonna say how they can deal with manny's speed and how it won't be a problem?

    please......

you guys have been following boxing for a long time. act like it.

you guys make every single little thing seem like it's some big deal when it's just the norm in this sport.
    Maybe I should've started my first answer with...I just DON'T like Roach...simple.

And if Roach makes a prediction that he truly believes in --that's absolutely his own honest opnion on the state of his fighter's abilities. There's nothing wrong there.
Ok, you corrected me. I'm very sorry. People....just deal with it, i just don't like him. Some of you might think i'm an idiot or an ass, don't care. Some might not like me, don't care, that's your opinion. There are plenty of posters that i like their comments and some i don't care for. Some that i like are Pacquiao fans and some are not. Let's end this right now.

Roach is BRAVE, very good trainer, very important to pacman's career, etc, etc. I AGREE ON ALL.

DO I LIKE HIM? NO !

man Ive been watching all of Cottos last fights and all of pacs.

Cottos power is definitely gonna be the difference, that and he can counter southpaws very well. I have a feeling it will play out like Cotto vs Quintana unless manny gets on the bike. Manny at his new weight isnt the ultra energizer bunny like paul williams. he takes plenty of breaks in between. The guy can throw fast but he tires quickly.

I dont htink Pacquiao can take Cottos shots. it has been the equalizer in all of his wins. Everyone at 147 has had trouble with his power. I dont see why a natural 135lber somehow shakes it off like nothing

it's just everyone is interviewing him the most.

who else is there to interview for american boxing writers? pac is in philippines. cotto is in puerto rico.

No, your wrong, I've followed Freddie (The Roach) and have never seen him stutter (talk) so much **** like he has in his last three fights. He was a quite humble man. The only problem is all the **** talking that has been going on with Puerto Rican fighters in the media will all play out in the ring come fight night! I can see Cotto asking Freddie, you really thought Pacboy was going to knock me out and take my power punches? Just like TITO did Oscar when he asked, do you now think, I'm worth 10 million dollars?

Puerto Rican fighters aren't known (well maybe Camacho) for talking **** in the media! Luckily Pacboy doesn't talk ****, because the beating could be worst..

Then you should have said that to begin with. I don't like a lot of people but it doesn't cloud my judgment on them as far as how good they are. I think Roger and Floy Sr. are scumbags but they are good trainers....

Wait till Cotto hits Pacquiao. Roach will look like a fool.

I'm not making my official prediction until 11/13. I want to hear how the training is going, miguel's cut, etc. I RESPECT manny as a very, very good fighter in weights BELOW welterweights. He has shown that he is very, very fast(not 10X as some say) and dishes it out with very good fighters. He also shows that he can be beat(Barerra 1) and can get rocked(marquez), but notice that his opponents do NOT take advantage of it.

I think the fight will be very similar to Cotto vs Judah/Malinaggi in that cotto will be fighting a fighter with more speed than those 2 but miguel has gotten smarter and better since those 2 fights and you've seen the end result. Yes, Judah and Malinaggi has tagged cotto with their speed but marquez/barerra have done the same to Pacquiao. The difference is that Cotto wears those speedy fighters with so many body shots that as the fight goes on their speed diminishes and they end up at the same speed as cotto, but with less power and that's when cotto ends it.

I see the same thing happening in this fight. Pacman will be himself and throw alot of fast punches and many at one time but if you all notice that pacquiao will throw 10 punches and 6-7 will be wild and he'll leave himself open. This time it's not Hatton or Oscar the statue but a very patient, smart boxer in Miguel Cotto. It will remind me of Leonard vs Hagler but more exciting. Pacquiao is very talented but I feel the wall is too high to climb for Pacquiao and Cotto will hurt Pacquiao enough to cause some damage. I might be wrong and fight might end with Cotto falling on his WBO belt and FiGHT being cancelled.

Again, what is he saying that is so dissrespectfu? Am i missing something? LOL

Tito should have thanked Oscar for the opportunity to make that money he would have never made fighting anyone else and asked him to train him after the boxing lesson he was given by Oscar......
