Boxer David Tua is in great condition but will be stronger still for his fight against Shane Cameron on October 3, his American trainer says.
Trainer Roger Bloodworth on Tuesday said Tua was in good shape.
"I think he's ahead of schedule," Bloodworth said.
"He's in good shape, very strong, and we've still got eight weeks to go, so I'm very happy."
Tua said he had lost a great deal of weight since he first started training for the bout, to be held outside of Hamilton.
"The most important thing is to focus on the job and the strategy for the fight, and the weight will come off," Tua said.
Bloodworth said weight was not an issue.

"He'll be more than ready for this fight," he said.
"I'm not worried about his weight - whatever he comes in at he comes in at - all that I'm worried about is that he can fight and that he's strong.
"He's very strong already, but he'll be a lot stronger when the fight comes."
Bloodworth also said that he still thought Tua had the potential for another crack at a world heavyweight title fight.
Tua has fought once for the title, losing to Britain's Lennox Lewis on points in Las Vegas in 2000.
The bout against Cameron will be indoors at the Mystery Creek Events
I just saw him on the sports news, looked in good nick, very well defined and still 9 weeks or something to go
