Julio Cesar Chavez Jr-Saul Alvarez Rivalry Builds

A rivalry is starting to build in Mexico between two undefeated contenders, junior middleweight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (39-0, 29KOs) and welterweight Saul Alvarez (28-0, 21KOs). Alvarez believes that Chavez has risen in the ranks on the back of his legendary name and not for his accomplishments in the ring. Alvarez would love the chance to fight Chavez. [details]

Realistically, how long do you think it would take for this fight to happen? Seems like they would want to build up the rivalry more.

I would definitely pay to see this fight and hope it happens one day.

Wonder what Uncle Bob is thinking...

Good scrap if it ever happens. But I'm going with Saul. Junior is too wide and too open. Eventually will get caught.

Sadly might not happen. Arum has nothing to gain with Saul winning. He needs Junior to keep winning. Manny is almost at the end of his career and Bob will need a new cash cow.

Both guys are going to have it tough in their late 20s. Both of them so young, fighting so many fights. Its hard to imagine they wont be rushed.
Especially Alvarez, 28 pro fights at 19 is ridiculous. He is at least six or seven years away from even starting to peak.
