Why are people against immidiate rematches?

For example people say no rematches if Cotto beats Pacman or JMM beats PBF and i wonder why is that?

I think when there is public demand for them and dollars behind that demand, rematches happen pretty quickly.
A ton of examples support this claim. Gatti-Ward, Marquez-Vasquez, are two that come to mind without even thinking about it.

It kind of depends on how good the first fight was, and if it was a knockout or a dramatic give and take fight.
