Cotto's Critics Representative of New Digital Era

Critique is the fuel powering certain elements in the boxing media. Miguel Cotto, Puerto Rican superstar in the making, has received his fair share of jabs from boxing's journalistic community.

One of the critiques regarding Cotto's career argue the level of competition which the twenty-four year old native of Caguas, Puerto Rico has faced in his twenty-two bouts has been limited. Some boxing minds will go as far as saying that Cotto has been coddled as a professional. [details]

"Not a poor resume for a twenty-four year old with a twenty-two fights docket and much better level of competition than Floyd Mayweather Junior or Arturo Gatti had after twenty-two fights"

let's chek this out, probably correct about gatti
    let's see about mayweather

mayweather record after 22 fights, when he already was 130 wbc and lineal champion by the way, included manfredy (#18) and genaro hernandez (#17) an his following defenses (19,20,21) were against fighters with better records than corley, but who had poorer opposition than corley did.

than on fight 22 (and 23) he took a break by fighting nobodies, which is always to disapprove but in fight 24 he fought Diego Corrales (33-0 at the time)

also note how cotto has fought a few of mayweather leftover's when they had many losses and one or two weight classes then they where when they fought mayweather, when we know cotto is a big 140er: wow this is what I call better competition

as far as the last bout goes, yes cotto faced a better fighter than mayweather did

and I think his managent is moving him the right way

but no way in hell his resume after 22 fights is better than the egomaniac wife beater's record at the same time in his career

second article in two days, by two different authors with some unreasonable crap thrown in, why? what's heppening to these writers?
