Hey guys, a lot of basketball tournaments are going on in the present, starting with the Fiba Asia Championships and Fiba Africa championships, also the Cocaba championships(central america) and soon to come the Fiba Americas and Eurobasket. Also I got a question for the pinoys. Is basketball the pinoys favorite team sport or something cause there are a lot of pinoys in this forum and I never see the Philippines in Olympics or World Championships. Its mostly China and and a arabian team.

To answer your question, yes, basketball is our number 1 sport and it is our national sport or what you would call here favorite past time sport. We don't compete in the Olympics level solely for economic reasons. If we can get more private sponsors, we'll be able to, but unfortunately we only get it primarily from the Government.

Pacquiao better remember what got him to where he is, Cotto obviously does. If Pac thinks this is going to be a cake walk, he's sorely mistaken. I think Cotto is becoming more underrated every day, and that's a good thing.

He has one loss to a monster welterweight with a granite chin and possibly plaster in his gloves. His last fight he barely won, but it was against another huge welterweight with a great defense on his A game.

If Pacquiao doesn't bring his A game, he will lose. He usually does, so we'll see what happens.

Manny went through a really tough life and was once homeless, believe me he knows how he got to where he is and where he came from and he will never forget. I don't know why you guys thinks he's taking Cotto lightly, especially out of a comment that he meant as a humble joke and even complimentary towards Cotto and a friendly one at that. He never takes any of his opponents lightly, quite the contrary.
