This is an excerpt from my conversation with Mike Skowronski, one of Gatti's assistant trainers. Soooo funny, I had to break out laughing when I heard this.
"We were training up in the Poconos at Stan Hoffman's gym and there was a petting zoo right next to the gym. There was a billy goat that was picking on some of the other small animals in the cage. Arturo waited for the billy goat to come over and grabbed it by it's ear and headbutted it. He headbutted it so hard that he hurt himself and was dazed. He says, 'Damn, that billy goat has a hard head.' I said, 'My man, it's a ****ing billy goat. What did you think was going to happen?'
"He always stuck up for the underdog or someone who was weaker. He hated bullies."
