Amir Khan spits out the dummy

It's all over the news that Khan has withdrawn from the ABA finals because of ticket allocation. He was offered 10 tickets for family and friends and, after complaining, was offered more, but it was still not enough. The attitude of his manager (wtf?)is that Khan was doing the ABA a favour by attending in the first place. this guy and his situation is starting to have "Hamed" written all over it. It was written that he was offered #70 k per year to stay amateur. if that's the case he shlould shut up, turn up and learn a bit more humility.

I think he might turn pro now.

He has been in sheffield on more than one occasion, over last 2 weeks talking to Hamed's people. Frank Warren tried telling him not to go anywhere near them, but has been in talks since.

Could he sign for Hamed's people??

He will get smashed if he turns pro now, He probably will bust before Hamed did in his career. Big mistake.

I think the young lad has had his head turned by all the attention. If he turns pro now I'll give him 5 years and he'll be working in his old man's scrap business. it's a shame because he has potential to do really well but if he's getting in with Hamed's camp they'll just milk him like a cash cow. he also want's to watch his step, so far he has the affection of the british public, but if nobody likes him he won't get the crowds at his pro events , unless they jst want to see him get his arse kicked.

rubbish hatton turned pro at 18.

he will sign with warren and be carefully guided and protected.

say what you like about frank but thats what he does best, guide young talent.

Its letting them off the leash he has a problem with.

i do agree though he seems an arrogant little **** at present.
started to believe his own hype.

Mate, I never mentioned Warren, I was referring to the Hamed brothers, of which you yourself have a low opinion.

I just saw the guy being interviewed on the news. He was vague about when he's going to turn professional ("Dunno...er.. one, two, three years, maybe. Before Bejing") but was far more adamant about when he will be World Champion. He said he no longer wants to do the Olympics because he wants to be a World Champion by 2008.

He does seem a little more brash, but it must be hard to keep down to Earth, he's only young. His big dream of 2008 Olympic Gold does seem to have been distorted by the pound...
