I know there are no boxing promoters/managers/advisors who can be counted on for pure honesty and objectivity when it comes to their fighters, but Greg Leon spouts some of the ******est most biased bull**** I have ever heard.

I have nothing personal against JT at all. I respect him as a fighter and I was one of the few people sticking up for him during his middleweight title reign. It's clear to me that the last thing Jermain Taylor wants to do is share a ring with Allan Green. He'd much rather get knocked out by white guys or networks enjoy watching him get knocked out by white guys. It has to be something because we had a verbal agreement, identical to the ones so many star boxers have as promotional contracts these days, and somehow we got screwed out of the Taylor fight and the tournament. I don't think Dirrell and Taylor belong in that tourney above Allan Green, but sometimes tells me we're going to have an opportunity to get in there sooner than some of you may think.

This idiot has the nerve to criticize Taylor for backing out of a verbal agreement to fight Green earlier this year because instead he wanted to fight Froch for a title. A real title; something Alan Green has never seen in his life (except for when he's screwing up opportunities to fight for them).

Why would Taylor pass up a chance at the WBC title to share a ring with a guy who has NOTHING to offer him because he's proven NOTHING over the course of a seven-year career without a win over a top 10 MW or SMW???

Then Leon brings Dirrell into it, saying Allan Green deserves a tourney spot more than Dirrell... guess what Greg? Dirrell has alread KO'd Oganov, the guy you just signed your boyfriend up to fight next. By any sane person's standards (or anyone not actively blowing Allan), Dirrell's resume is already better than Green's.

Not to mention that in signing Oganov, you avoided a better fighter (Sakio Bika) on a Floyd Mayweather PPV undercard, for better money. Because you think it might eventually earn Allan an alternate spot in the SMW tournament. Good luck with that, but in the meantime everyone is laughing about what a joke you are as an "advisor" seeing as how Green consistently misses out on his biggest opportunities (Pavlik, Taylor, Bute, and now Bika).

Agreed the guy is a grade A tosspiece. He needs to realise he can no longer try and be objective, whilst trying to force Allan Green down our throats. I hate him and what has the "white guy" thing got to do with anything aswell? *******.

Obviously he was never unbiased... but he shouldn't use boxing talk dot com as the mouthpiece for his advisory company when he's also got legitimate interviews with fighters posted, press releases, and other news and rumors. Show some class and make a separate website; www.gregleonruinscareers.com or whatever. I know he runs the website so he can say what he wants, but it is a blatant conflict of interest.

For instance, is it not ironic that a few posts up from the mailbag where he criticizes Dirrell's involvement in the tournament, one of his Leon's writers interviews Dirrell and doesn't even ask Dirrell to respond to the criticism?

He just asks Dirrell generic questions about his training and the upcoming Froch fight, without bothering to say, "Oh and by the way, my boss thinks a no-resume having joke named Allan Green belongs in the tournament instead of you. What do you think about that?"

Speaking of Leon's crap........earlier this year after Allan Green backed out of a Bute fight I remember Leon's site was the only one who posted the rumors of Bute trying to fight Joey Spina.

I remember that as well... a perfect example of how such a conflict of interest by someone in the media can be used to influence public opinion as they see fit.

Leon is what he is. He won't be around much longer, that much is obvious. His site is officially a joke where he creates pretend interviews done by pretend writers. When it ain't that it's something about one of his fighters who he's always "busy with." It is what it is. Peace, Greg!
