Whats with the constant Andrade references?

Froch is a league or two above the Mexican and fights nothing like.

Froch uses his range very well and knows how to execute a gameplan. He can brawl and he can jab.

Andrade does none of those things.

His most underrated asset. When he utilises it correctly, he can dictate fights with the jab. He should study how Wlad controls a fight with, and lead with it for the first few rounds to feel out opponents, but he tends to be the opposite. Froch would rather let the oppenent start off with confidence by getting tagged then slowly bring them to the trenches which will favour him.

Just look at the Pascal fight, when Froch used the jab, Jean could not get a clean shot on him........as soon as Froch lets the guard down for a war, he takes unneccasary shots that costs him valuable rounds.

I just hope from the first bell against Dirrell, he uses the jab more. Having a defense wouldn't hurt mind.

        Excellent post.

He looks awful with his left hand held at waist height, but when you actually watch him fight he uses the jab well and tends to beat his opponents to the first punch. Until he starts to brawl as you say, then it's last man standing stuff, not really classic boxing but very good to watch!

The exception in the early rounds was against Taylor, when he started off much more slowly than usual and took a lot more punches in those first few rounds than he generally does.

Regardless of what people think Froch isn't ******, and if he fights Taylor again he won't make the same mistakes twice - if he doesn't KO Taylor again i'd favour a UD, something around 8-4.

Dirrell is in trouble if he thinks he can just outbox Froch for 12 rounds, he's going to have to take some punishment to do it and I think Froch will stop him late on.

Kessler I make the toughest fight, i'm 50/50 on that one, possibly favouring Kessler depending on what he looks like after the lay off.

Abraham is another tough fight (they all are, that's what makes this tournament so great - no tomato cans in sight!) but I think Froch can take it on a UD.

All this talk about Froch taking fighters in the trenches is after two fights(Taylor, Pascal)...lol, which is funny to me. Froch has a gameplan but doesn't every fighter? The only thing that saves him is his chin. I don't see Dirrell getting KOd. I think he's the guy being underestimated due to the lack of experience. If Dirrell comes in the ring in shape, Froch won't beat him. Being away from home and fighting for 12 rounds in not going to bother Dirrell, based off his fighting style, he is built for that. But it's very clear that Andre Dirrell is a bigger version of Floyd Mayweather, Dirrell defense(when he shows), heart, and boxing skill will shock alot of people. Hats off to Froch for fighting thru adversity but I think that's almost done with, this tournament will prove that you need complete skill/fighter to be the best, not half ass skill, ala Froch and Taylor. And alot of wins on Taylor have been suspect.

I wish that froch had someone like a Manny Steward or a Freddie Roach teaching him to use more boxing skills in his fights, I think he will beat Dirrell and possibly Abraham but thats asking a lot. He will lose to kessler and probably sc**** into the second round and lose to kessler again

Froch eats Abraham's hardest punches for breakfast.
