Hope this is actually valid. I don't really care about the title anymore. Want I want to know is if Pacquiao does win it will he defend against some of the other top welterweights. Maybe Mayweather?

Yeah, I want Cotto to be 100% for this fight.

I want to see if Cotto can handle Pacquiao's speed, and want to find out if Pacquiao can handle Cotto's power.

Walk away from 15 million dollars? No way ... that's just not good business on Cotto's part. Plus from what i've heard Arum is suppose to pick up the saction fees for the title. So shouldn't be a problem. Besides Cotto is suppose to beat Manny because he is naturally strong and bigger, so for him it shouldn't make a difference. In the beginning I could understand him not wanting to put the title up because he would have to pay the Fee, but if Arum pays it ... then there shoudn't be a problem and there shouldn't be any more bitching.

It will be a good match and I'm seeing a real war between the two. Hope that both fighters give their best for the fans.

Cotto is a wealthy man but not wealthy enough to turn his back for an opportunity like $15M.

At 145 lbs Cotto will be just fine for the fight

This is the reply I wanted to get from mine. As much as people would like to label Cotto as being guided by principles and simply saying "no" to the fight due to the belt being on the line, in the end, he's just like any other boxer wanting a big payday.

People claiming Pacquiao being a ***** for asking Cotto to drop 2lbs (Noting, Cotto has on numerous occassions tip the scales at 146), ask yourself, was this fight even in the realm of posssibility a year ago when Pacquiao was at Super Featherweight? For 2lbs less of the Welterweight limit--Pacquiao has asked for an absurdly reasonable contracted weight. This man was fighting at flyweight until the age of 20--I think some concessions had to be made given Pacquiao being the draw. And while I hate how WBO has forced Cotto to put his belt on the line against his wishes--in the grand scheme of things--it's also something reasonable that should be at stake.
