Why didnt Jose Cotto continued his career?

I hear that he is the helping out Cotto Promotions. He spends a lot of time with that. Wasn't he Cotto's cut man for Clottey also?

That was Joe Chavez and the reason he's not fighting is that he was suspended for fighting with Evangelista at the end of a round in a fight, afterward he did not fight on.

I just watched his fight with Diaz, and that fight was close, Diaz won clearly tho.

Dude had great technique, theew 100+ punches per round, with good power, had great stamina, had very good defense,ectectect

He is/was World class fighter. That Cotto, beats a lot of the Top lightweights of today.

I know, he had discipline problems, but the guy was very good. I dont understand why he didnt Continue his careerr.

he is 28-1-1(20KOs) his last fight was in 2007

He is a very good fighter and sincerely I can't tell you why he didn't continue. When I was in my teens I use to have friends where the Cotto's lived and use to hang around the area. This was when they were all amateurs and Miguel was starting out boxing. Jose was the standout, he was a very good amateur fighter and many though that he would get to where Miguel is today.
