What is the first fight you watched live?

Mine was De La Hoya vs. Mayweather. Before that I didnt know anyone who had HBO and could not watch live boxng on regular tv, I had to settle with replays on ESPN classic. After that I was hooked. The guy I watched that fight with has been a boxing fanatic since 1990 and has taped every fight he has ever watched and let me borrow all the fights he had which had to be between 400-500 fights. Now that I think about it its kind of a weird fight to make someone a die hard boxing fan but it did. What was your first fight?

Whitaker-Chavez I believe I was 6 or 7. I clearly remember watching DLH fights like against Chavez and Trinidad as well. Barrera-Hamed made me a fan of MAB for life, though.

Lucky you. Even if the fight wasnt all that great, I have never been lucky enough to go to a fight, especially for free.

I used to watch all the tyson fights scrambled. Our cable box would give us the sound for free but the picture would be all messed up. Barely see anything.
