The Super Six tournament could become something beautiful

Not in a dish sense, although Kessler and Taylor are a bit of alright.

But if the tournament is a success then it could be a springboard for bigger things. Imagine a boxing league with maybe 20 fighters from each weight on contract for a certain number of fights, with the reputation as being a leader, one organisation built not to line the pockets of the owners like so many boxing sanctioning bodies, but instead with a long term vision.

It would be an investment, starting with a few tournaments and moving on from there into a league with its own championships. The last thing Boxing needs is a new sanctioning body. This would be bigger than that.

i hope it does all go well and set a precedent for stacked divisions, but overdoing that best-constantly-fighting-best format could seriously damage boxers' longevities and careers

It would be awesome if they did this again in another weight class. Amagine a welterweight super 6 with Cotto, Mayweather, PacMan, JMM, Shane and Berto/Williams.

Television has to get behind it in all major countries. From what I hear there isn't a deal in the UK yet for it, even though it has a British fighter competing.

The success or failure of this tournament is the success or failure of boxing.

And the best fighting the best never hurt the longevity of the legendary fighters of yore.

Amen to that, this could be huge for boxing....especially if they somehow broadcast the final bouts on CBS or something
