Thats the deal, He was ordered by the IBF believe as a mandatory. Hopkins says his belts mean nothing after twenty so lets see if he drops the IBF belt or the IBF grants him an extension of some sort.

I really dont believe that Hopkins would take this fight. Its not that he thinks that Solimon could beat him, its that Bernard promised his mom a long time ago that he would quit slapping ******s......

The way that i put that is just a saying from back in the day. Solimon is not a ******, however he is not even close to the calibur of fighter that Hopkins is. What I was saying is that it would be an obvious mismatch.....Rockin'

it would be a mismatch, although Soliman has good D for a puncher...i can't see him swarming Hops, though, he doesn't have enough power in his punches

Soliman is the same Guy Eastman beat a few years back right? If so Bernard wins another Easy UD

Soliman is the guy that Eastman beat a few years ago, but at that stage he was a Kickboxer who did a bit of boxing on the side. In the last two years he has concentrated solely on boxing and has improved immensely. He has a very awkward style, is fast and has great defense. He hasn't got the greatest power but I think it would be closer than alot of people think.

True but one thing that Hopkins seems to do well better than most fighters is be prepared regardless of the style. His gameplans may not be the prettiest but they are effective until proven otherwise. Can Soliman press the fight to bernard is a question? It seems to me that you have to get in Bernard's grill right from the start in order to even get him flustered. Other wise he will counter you and slip shots all day

I hope Hop doesn't take the fight. Soliman would be a nice fight for maybe Taylor or Sturm...not for a guy who should be going out fighting the big boys. To Hopkins, Soliman is chump change.

If Tito nor Eastman could get up in Hopkins face, I dont think any other fighter can especially a defensive fighter.
