Local Promoter, Randall Waldman of Straight Up Promotions presents a dynamic fight card at Louisville Gardens. The fight card entitled
“REDEMPTION” features 2 time heavyweight champion Rid**** "Big Daddy" Bowe. A portion of ticket sales, concession sales as well as advertising sales go to help fallen boxer, Louisville's own Greg Page. Page, former USBA and WBA heavyweight champion was critically injured at the end of a fight against Dale Crowe, in Erlanger, KY while fighting for the KY State Heavyweight Championship belt. Page collapsed and was rushed to a hospital with a severe brain injury. Now wheelchair bound and paralyzed on his left side, Page continues his courageous fight to recover as the costs of his medical care continue to rise.
A sensational fight card on Saturday, November 27th, 2004 at the Historical Louisville Gardens, and Headlining the Card is the Former undisputed Heavyweight world Champion Rid**** “BIG DADDY” Bowe. “Big Daddy” is from Brooklyn, NY and has a record of 41-1 with 33 knockouts.
This will be a 10 round main event. Ticket went on sale November 6th at all ticketmaster outlets.
Rid**** says, “…It has been a life long dream to fight in Louisville," and that he is "excited to play a part in helping out a former Champion, and friend, Greg Page.”
