The Great White Hope questions - 70's era

who knows of a heavyweight fighter named Mohammad Staffoo Davis (Claude Davis?) who fought in the 70's, possibly known as The Great White Hope, part of Muhammad Ali's entourage, might have fought on his undercards, etc.

Any info on this person?
