first off WTF IS THIS BULL****!! how can the three sactioning body's of boxing be so blind to the fact that all the weightclasses and all the title belts are butchering boxing. No wonder boxing is'nt as great to watch as it was back in the day, back in the day we did'nt have 90 weight devisions and 200 belts. There was featherweight, lightweight, welterweight ect. and ONE title per devision that stated who was the king of the castle. But now there's 3 per devision and the WBC has just announced a Catch Weight Belt. WTF! What boxing need's is'nt a new star fighter to bring it back to the spotlight, it needs to lose some weight devisions and belts.
theres some things boxing can learn from UFC for example:
1) commentators who are actually excited to announce a bout
2) ONE champion PER weightclass
3) Feather, light, welter, middle, light heavy and heavyweight should be the only weightclasses, non of this bull**** cruiser weight or super and jr weightclasses
4) ONE CHAMPION
Im both a fan of mma and boxing, and i am a boxer also. But it hurts me to see boxing head in such a south direction and it hurts me more to see that the Big King's of the Castle are the ones sending it in that direction.
Here's to hoping someone will open the WBC's, WBA's and WBO's eyes and forcing them to see what they have done to boxing. in my perfect world the 3 sanctioning body's would combine to just make the WBC or somethin and have 1 belt per the 6 weightclasses.
