I can't see how Pavlik doesn't win this fight.

You don't stand right in front of Pavlik and win, and that is what Williams is going to do. Williams' defence is poor and he is going to stand in front of the bigger, stronger puncher all night. Williams' volume will go out the window when Pavlik starts to land on him.

Williams is one tough *** though, I have to give him that. He might go the distance. Still, Pavlik all day for mine.

Williams boxes like Margarito but with better speed. Nothing more....only reason people think he has a decent defense is cause motherfucking 5*7 dudes can't reach him.

Just my gut feel, but I think we will have a fight between middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik and Paul Williams on October 3rd in Atlantic City, New Jersey, which will be televised by HBO.

It's certainly an intriguing fight on many levels. Bottom line, Pavlik didn't have many other options right now and for Williams, if his side would have negotiated their way out of what is a career-high payday( his side is getting over $1.75 million of the license fee) he no longer could claim to be,' the most avoided/feared man in boxing.' For 'the Punisher' it's a golden opportunity to cement his status as one of the games best pound-for-pound performers. On the flip side, Pavlik can ill-afford another loss at the elite level after losing conclusively to Bernard Hopkins less than a year ago.

Can Pavlik handled the foot-speed and movement of Williams? Who can hit-on-the-fly( as the late, great Don Familton would say) as well as any boxer in the world. And how will Williams deal with the legitimate 160-pound punching power of Pavlik?

We'll found out, it looks like.
