Panama Lewis never really left boxing....

i hate to start another assault in the ring thread, but i see a lot guys saying things like "thank god panama never was allowed near a ring again" or something like that...are you guys serious? panama's been training guys for years, some of your favorite fighters too, guys like gatti, tyson, etc....and as a trainer he's always been highly regarded, when i first heard of him it was as a legit trainer, no one ever mentioned the collins incident..just food for thought

i'm not defending him at all, just stating facts, saying that he's been around boxing since the incident, doing everything but work a corner

Yup, like the narrator said in the doc:

"It's obvious, that Panama Lewis is doing pretty well in a sport that supposedly banned him for life"

              or something like that.

You talk as if you're the only one to see the WORLDWIDE HBO special that showed him training other fighters and you just wanted to share this secret info to us. Think before making a thread.

good one...my point is that not only is he active in the sport, he's been active at the highest level...name the fighter that he was training in the movie...i bet you can't...now get a life, people like you with nothing to say are what make this board hard to take seriously

He trained Judah for the Cotto fight, they mentioned that... nothing about the other top fighters he'd worked with though.
