    its a shame

that people seem to forget how great oscar de la hoya was

he did lose alot of his big fights. although some of them were controversial
but ask yourself this, was it not a very entertaining fight?

and oscar NEVER DUCKED anybody... if there was one thing you could say about oscar it was that he fought everyone he was suppose to

its easy to forget all the things hes done after what happened with pacquiao

im talkin about the oscar de la hoya that brawled with shane mosley(who was on steroids) twice, the de la hoya that fought ike quartey, the de la hoya that outclassed felix trinidad, the de la hoya who beat julio cesar chavez(even though JCC was ancient by the time) im talkin about the very young de la hoya who was put against an all time great boxer like pernell whitaker and put up a good fight, im talkin about the de la hoya that came back and knocked out fernando vargas in that fight... thats the de la hoya we should all remember... im not huggin his nuts, i just think you should give the man the proper respect he deserves, you cant say he didnt do alot for the sport
if anything he was keeeping the sport very alive

I don't think anyone one on this forum will call Oscar, he's a legend and no one will take that from him, i liked him always have one of my favourite boxers just a shame he aint fighting no more, I would like to see a Hatton v. De La Hoya fight for Hattons final fight or something like that!

Apart from that I love the guy and the fact he lost doesn't bother me!

I used to be a big fan of the guy. Almost always entertainin, win or lose his res is sick, and he did a lot both in and for boxing. But I lost a ton of respect for him wit that whole Pac **** last yr, and all the blasphemous **** he's said from last summer to now.

Yeah full of cash and then hospital bills for Oscar i wouldn't want to watch him get KTFO to be fair, he's a great that just doesn't need that! Maybe Hatton for a one off if he was ever up for it, i'd pay to see that!
