I think Cotto is a bad ass, and is easily my favorite boxer. Shane did not get his ass whooped. He was defeated, even convincingly, but not whooped. I agree with you, though, that his bragging is getting a bit much. He's the best....cuz he beat margacheato? That's like arguing that hatton would have been p4p best if he beat either Manny or Mayweather. I think it should take more than simply beating someone to be considered 'the best'. To win a championship is one thing, because there are variables, but a guy who consistently proves to come out on top is WAY better than a guy who took a chance and maybe got lucky...ah la Rahman beating Lewis. I don't think too many people ever considered Rahman anything other than a journeyman. He got lucky and that was patently proven by Lewis his second go.
