Boxing will have to change based on UFC and the Depression

I don't think the current system can be sustain in these times anymore. Boxing have to provide a quality event and not just a big fight anymore if they want people dish out money in these tough times.

I events that have a double main event have to be in order.Imagine a PPV card where every fight features a great matchup with big names? Thats what will have to happen.Imo Boxing would make more money this way and regain it's popularity.

Some of you get defensive when some brings up the UFC vs Boxing but it is time to wake and realise it is real problem for boxing. Fighters/Ssantioning bodies/P;romoters/Networks/Sponsors/Lawyers/Advisors/Managers/ all need to shape up in Boxing.

UFC got nothin to do wit it. Boxing in general needs less PPV, or at least better cards on PPV. And more big fights altogether. The **** about fighters bitchin n balkin over $ is gettin sad.

It's an issue that is killing this great sport. See boxing is great sport that people love with a passion but when you have **** fights/events it turns people off big time.

No but boxing fans would benefit much more from how MMA is setup with 80% of the top talent under one fight promotion. Fans would get much better fights and it would be easier to follow …since everything would be contained under one banner like the NFL, MLB, NASCAR…or UFC

But this will sadly never happen

Boxing has already started to changed. Not sure if you have been noticing the fights on HBO especially. Gone are the days of tuneups and the such, we now get competitive fights, less fights but more competitive. Fighters are going to see a ****e down in their pay, there is no reason any fighter should make millions upon millions. Instead of having lesser unknowns lets say Donaire on PPV we should be having this guy on regular T.V. Soon promoters and fighters are going to realize this **** isn't going to fly and then, just then will we start to see drastic change in the sport and see it go back to its roots.
