yeah he kissed the canvas 3 times and yet went on to get the draw what does that tell you about the rest of the fight[/QUOTE]

The fight tells that Marquez has a great heart and Pacquiao has great heart and power.. what else do you want to hear...? That Marquez has a paper chin?

But I suppose you could argue that his improvement from Marquez II to Hatton isn't that big

Pacquiao has quite clearly become a better boxer over the past two years or so, but he's still not unbeatable. JMM beat him.
everyone knows that pac caught hoya and hatton at the right time in both of their careers and if hoya was in his prime he would have kod pac easily. not that its pacs fault for taking the 2 biggest money and exposure fights out there for him and dominating but lets be real pac hasnt really proved anything over 126 to show that he can handle a top 5 ww

no that marquez went on to win the vast majority:: of the rounds to be able to earn a draw after kissing the canvas 3 times in the first round

While I agree that they were obviously reduced versions of both De La Hoya and Hatton, I still believe both of them were capable of operating on an elite level (Hatton moreso than De La Hoya), so Pacquiao's performances were still pretty great

They were enough to convince me that Pacquiao can perform at a world class level, nay, a P4P #1 level, at 140lbs and up. He has visibly retained his speed and the vast majority of his power while altering his fight plans in a way which, IMO, makes him even more capable on the world stage

Of course he can't considering his size... But put a man of his size in front of him and you'll see the result... To prove that you are great is not necessarily beating big guys but rather beating excellent competition.. Both DLH and Hatton can still beat other fighters of Pacquiao size...
